The eC-Audit Tool™ automates tasks that many audit teams are performing manually today. This automation drives standardization and thereby improves the efficiency and consistency of the audit process, while focusing auditors’ efforts on gathering evidence and drawing conclusions, rather than aggregating, formatting and processing results.

The eC-AuditTool™ is a web distributed application that is fully functional as a standalone application in an off-line environment. Once installed the application will, when launched, seek an internet connection to check if periodic updates to the application and / or audit protocols are available. If an internet connection is not available, the application remains fully functional and can therefore be taken into the field on a laptop where live internet connectivity may not be available. This combines the best of web and standalone applications into a single solution.

The eC-Audit Tool™ is configurable to audit against any standard or protocol. Audit protocol templates have been configured to audit against public provincial, state, federal and international compliance standards and proprietary corporate protocols, making the eC-Audit Tool™ the leading product in its class.

The eC-AuditTool™ has been molded through experience for practical employment. In close cooperation with auditors, certifiers, standard committees, internal experience the application is continuously enhanced and improved to maintain its status as the industry leading solution built for internal and external auditors.

The application supports the internationally accepted best-in-class process flow of:

in a systematic, reliable and reproducible audit process. Not only is this process based on proven best practices, but it is compliant with the International Standard that forms the foundation of all Quality and/or Environmental Management System auditing (ISO 19011:2002) which is equally applicable in the auditing of Safety Management Systems.

The eC-Audit Tool supports an evidence-based approach, in accordance with ISO 19011, which enables auditors to do appropriate sampling and collecting of information and the verification of findings through a structured process of (DIO):

• Documentation (D) - Review documentation to ensure that processes, procedures and policies are in place
• Interview (I) - Interview employees to verify that they are aware of the processes, procedures and policies.
• Observation (O) - Perform an observation tour of the facility to ensure that the processes, procedures and policies are implemented and adhered to.

Audit findings collected during the audit to be compared to audit objectives (of whichever standard is selected). Conclusions are then formulated based on these findings along with appropriate recommendations or suggestions for improvement. Corrective actions be identified and created from within the application and can then be tracked via a fully integrated online eCompliance program management and implementation system.
